The total area of the island is around 86 hectares and have now 58 ponds (2,1,0.5& 0.25 hectares sizes), Nurseries and Grow out section, hatchery complex, preprocessing facility, different sections in hatchery include brood stock section, spawning section, larval rearing & post larval rearing sections. They have a staff of around 40 people including the maintenance section. In 2005 Dr. Gopakumar joined the company as Manager and full-fledged production started with full expansion of the island during 2006. The capacity of the farm is 1.5 to 2 tons shrimps per day depending on the market requirements they produce every year. In 2015 they establish the state-of-the-art RAS facility to produce marine finfish under controlled conditions. A very cost effective, ecofriendly , sustainable method to raise fishes. They produce, sea bream, sea bass, barramundi, Tilapia, grouper (Hamoor) in this RAS facilities. They have 3 RAS facilities under al Jaraf fisheries.
