A graduate of Edinburgh University, he worked for The Scotsman group covering crime, health, local government and the Scottish independence referendum in 2014. He joined The National in February 2017 from Dubai’s 7DAYS newspaper. He misses freezing cold days spent watching the Six Nations at Murrayfield Stadium but does not miss Scottish politics.
