ISTANBUL, June 1 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Tuesday.

The lira was quoted at 8.5000 against the dollar at 0525 GMT, having closed at 8.4940 on Monday.

The main BIST 100 share index fell 0.11% to 1,420.49 points on Monday.

GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stock markets rose on Tuesday while gold flirted near five-month highs ahead of European and U.S. data this week that will likely offer clues on the health of the global economy.

COVID-19 MEASURES EASED

Turkey further eased measures meant to curb coronavirus infections on Monday including partially lifting a weekend lockdown and opening restaurants to a limited number of guests.

ERDOGAN PROGRAMME

President Tayyip Erdogan will host the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili for talks and a joint news conference (1600 GMT).

ERDOGAN INTERVIEW

President Erdogan will give a television interview to state broadcaster TRT (1930 GMT).

PMI

Turkey's manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for May will be announced (0700 GMT).

ISTANBUL INFLATION

The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce will release Istanbul inflation data for May (0900 GMT).

RUSSIAN FLIGHTS BAN

Russia has decided to keep in place its ban on flights to Turkey until June 21 inclusive, its coronavirus task force said on Monday.

FOREIGN MINISTER

Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will take part in the NATO foreign ministers meeting by video conference.

PARLIAMENT MEETINGS

The main opposition CHP (1030 GMT), the pro-Kurdish HDP (0945 GMT) and the government-allied nationalist MHP (0745 GMT) will hold parliamentary group meetings.

BOTAS LNG

Turkish state energy company Botas is seeking 60 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for delivery over three years starting from October, this year, two trade sources said on Tuesday.

ENERGY MINISTER

Energy Minister Fatih Donmez will attend a ceremony to open the EPIAS forward electric market (1100 GMT).

EDUCATION MINISTER

Education Minister Ziya Selcuk will hold a meeting to publicise the ministry's efforts to make up for education losses due to the coronavirus pandemic (0700 GMT).

CORONAVIRUS

Turkey's daily COVID-19 cases stood 6,493 on Monday, when the number of recorded deaths was 122, health ministry data showed.
